Psychological Recommendations
A group of former psychology students from the UIB have reviewed the recommendations given for confinement and have chosen those with the most scientific support. We will be sharing them to the entire community in small bits.
Establish and Plan New Routines
Confinement makes some routines disappear, therefore we must try to adapt them or establish new ones. Think about how you want to spend your confined days in order to take advantage of some quality and productive time.
Apply Premack’s Principle to Your Routine
- Organize your tasks by objectives.
- Be specific:
“Work out” vs “Do the @Time4Fit_Mallorca / @WomanPersonalTrainers challenge in less than 30 min. at 4 pm.
- Use the following structure:
- Moderate-motivation task
– 5 min break – - Low-motivation task
– 5 min break – - High-motivation task
– 5 min break – - Low-motivation task
– 15 min break – - Repeat!
Productive Lunch Break
- An act of kindness: did you know that investing time/money in others gives us more pleasure than if we spend it on ourselves? Make a list of three things you can do for someone during this holiday and let us know!
